On February 15, 2014 three Junior teams from Bemidji Curling Club traveled to the new Brainerd CC. Each team played three games in a round-robin against the host Brainerd Juniors. Bemidji had two boys teams, and a girls team. On the boys teams were three 4th graders, four 6th graders and a 7th grader. The girls had two 6th graders and two high schoolers.
It was a great day of curling for the kids. The programs shared pizza and outstanding youth curling. The kids and the grown ups had a great time watching competitive games. Brainerd was a fantastic host! Bemidji hopes to return the favor, and the club’s might make the event a competition for a traveling Paul Bunyan Trophy.
